sleep....

On Sunday night, Rachel slept 11 hours continuously through the night. She missed her last feed that night, must have been too tired. She was a happy and cheerful baby when she woke up. She likes to be carried and placed on our bed next to us every morning when she wakes up, then she will roll around for a while, looking at us and babbling non-stop. I really treasure these times spent with her, her babbling is always music to my ears and her smiles and laughter every morning never fails to make my heart melt. :)

lately, she doesnt really want to be carried and rocked to sleep at night. especially when she's really sleepy, she will struggle in my arms. when she does that i know she wants to be put down, so i will gently place her on her cot. she will grab her bolster and roll around in her cot for a bit while i pat her. then she will eventually fall asleep. i guess it's a good thing coz she's getting heavier, i think she should be almost 9kg by now... well, sometimes if she's not sleepy enough, then she still wants to be rocked.

she continues to amaze us with her learning skills. she loves to read her Bible... when we ask her how to pray, she will clasp her hands together! and when we ask her to say Amen, she will go "aaaa"... hehe. when we ask her how to praise the Lord, she will lift up both arms! :)

at the same time, she's getting cheekier too. she understands the meaning of "no" (she will shake her head when we say "no") but she will still choose to do it although we say "no". and nowadays, the task of changing her clothes and diapers is getting more and more challenging. she will crawl away cheekily before you can even change her! she loves to be chased around too....

in about 1.5 months time she's turning 1. time really flies. now i've got to start planning on how to celebrate her 1st bday... any suggestions?
