13 months +
Yes, I am 13 months plus and I am getting cheekier by the day!
I am also learning how to talk. Here’s what I can say so far : mama, papa, ah mah, kong kong, grandma, ball, duck, clock, ka kak, pork, pis (which actually means please), mop, up, out, elmo, amen, fall down, bible, ti-ti (which means dirty), dog, car, hair, toes, bye, where, no more…….. and of course, I do have my own baby language too. The adults complain that they don’t understand what I’m saying. But mama and papa says it doesn’t matter…they say I am so cute when I start speaking in my own language and it is like music to their ears! :)
I have a new habit…in the middle of the night, I will wake up and asked to be carried out from my cot and placed on the bed in between mama and papa. I go straight back to sleep once I am placed on their bed. Mmmmm….it feels so good and comfy to be able to snuggle up with mama and papa….
And of course, I love walking. Ever since I learnt how to walk ( which happened exactly 2 days before I turned 1 year old) , I have been very busy walking all over the house. As long as I’m not asleep, I’ll be walking here and there, thus keeping those who take care of me busy as well! Everyone says I’m so active! Mama says its good exercise for her! Hehe….
When I eat, I love to tease by pretending to share my food with others, for eg, when I am eating rice krispies (yumm…love them!), mama will ask me to share with her. So I will put out my hand towards her but will not let go of the rice krispies that is in my hand, and then quickly put the rice krispies into my mouth! Hahaha.
And I simply love music. When I hear music, I will either clap my hands, shake my fingers as though I’m conducting a choir or start dancing (shaking my butt). And I love it when people sing to me.. I especially like the song “this is the day that the Lord has made”. When mama sings this song, I will make her sing this song repeatedly!!!! My ah mah says that she feels like a CD player, having to repeat the same song over and over again! Hahaha…. and when I hear the song Praise Him Praise Him all ye little children, I will raise my arms to praise God!
this week ah kong and ah mah is away on holiday. So kong kong and grandma and 3-ee is taking care of me. Today they brought me to youth park. Had lots of fun in the playground! Sat on the see-saw, swing, slide…grandma told mama that I was laughing non-stop… enjoyed myself thoroughly! Tomorrow, mama is on leave and will be taking care of me! And then Friday, both mama and papa will be on leave! Yippee! I’m looking forward to spending precious time with them! :)
