15.5 months

Brought Rachel for her MMR jab on Monday. This time she cried longer than usual. Normally she will only cry for 1-2 seconds (cry when the needle goes in and stop crying when the needle comes out), but this time even after the needle came out she was still crying….and continued to cry even after I carry her up from the bed…. The paed said this jab is more painful than the rest of the jabs because this jab has to go under the skin…whereas the rest of the jabs go straight into the muscle….. oh well, whether pain or not, still have to take la..it’s only good for her…..

Rachel now weighs 11.14kg and is 81cm tall J she has shot up 10cm within 2 months! hmm..i think she’s going to grow up to be tall…really tall…just like her papa…. J and she has put on only about 1kg within 2 months… so I guess she’s not overweight is she? This time the paed didn’t mention anything abt her weight….. hehe.

Last month, Rachel started developing this behaviour (hmm..not sure whether it’s the right word to use..)…when she sees certain people, she will shy off and then burst into tears!!! And she will really cry…and usually will take a while to pacify her… sigh… and sometimes out of the blue, she will just cry too esp when people suddenly laugh loudly or sometimes when the adults are engrossed in a conversation. It seems as though she’s fearful of something that causes her to burst into tears suddenly…according to some articles that I read, it could be some kind of stranger anxiety or some says it could merely just be a tactic to gain full attention…but all the articles say that it is just a phase that will pass. Even the paed says it will pass. Thank God! we are praying that it will pass really soon…. anyone has the same experience??

Other than that, she’s getting cheekier and “smarter” each and everyday! She definitely knows what to do to get her own way! And getting very clever at throwing tantrums! On the other hand, she’s getting cuter and cuter too! I cant stay angry at her for long…… J whenever she does something wrong and we scold/beat (gently of course) her, she will show us her cheeky face..and then she’ll come to me and hug me…..when she does that, how to stay angry? Sigh.
Her vocab is also expanding…she can say many many more words now…. Eg. gurt (which means yogurt), bread, nana (which means banana), cold, apple, etc.

Got to go now….. will update photos later…
