Rachel turns exactly 17 months old today!

when we sing the song "If you're happy and you know it" ..she'll smile and gladly do the actions, i.e clap her hands, stamp her feet and lifts her hands and say "hooray".. we tried to teach her to say "amen" but she prefers to say "hooray" when doing the action for this song!
when we sing the song "Jesus loves me this I know.." she'll walk to the room and look for the song book which has the title "Jesus loves the little children"... hehe. she can relate to the word Jesus..
and at night, before she sleeps, we'll pray with her. recently, when we tell her Rachel let's pray together. she will stop whatever she's doing, fold her hands together and sit still while we pray. previously, she wont sit still..she'll fold her hands for 2 seconds then she'll start wiggling away... but now she has learnt to sit still until we finish praying. of course we have to keep the prayer short and simple la.. hehe...
the other day, she found a piece of plastic on the floor, she picked it up and to my amazement, she walked straight to the wastepaper basket and threw the plastic in there! i was expecting her to stick it into her mouth (which is normally the case)....
oh.. i can go on endlessly about the things that she is capable of doing..... but probably another day la....this post is getting too long... hehe.
i'm just thankful for the wonderful child that God has blessed us with. our darling Rachel! :)
