Family Thanksgiving Dinner 2008
This is our "Chan" family annual thanksgiving dinner. My dad was the one who initiated it. The purpose of this thanksgiving dinner is specially to give all our thanks and honour to our dear Heavenly Father for all that He has blessed us with specially for that year. Without Him, we are nothing. It is only by His grace and love that we are who we are today, it is only by His provision that we have a roof over our heads, food to eat, the jobs that we hold and most importantly the family that He has blessed us with.
We thank God for the many little blessings that we so often take for granted and we thank God for simple lives that we lead.
I could not have asked for more......God has blessed us so much over the years.....there are no words good enough to thank Him!
"there are no words good enough to thank You, there are no words to express my praise, but i will lift up my voice and sing from my heart, with all of my strength....Hallelujah Hallelujah to the Lamb!"
For me, i am thankful that God has blessed me with amazing parents, wonderful sisters, the most loving husband, precious bundles of joy in Rachel and the little one inside me, and the latest addition to the family -a brother-in-law. What a wonderful family!
This year's dinner was held in my parent's humble home in Farlim instead of eating out at a restaurant. My mom decided to cook nasi dagang (a Kelantan speciality) All of us love to eat nasi dagang since we were small... :) you can hardly find it in Penang and the ones that you find in Penang are not so nice and authentic as the original ones found in Kelantan.
here are the pictures.
finally managed to tie Rachel's hair without her pulling out the rubberband!!! it's a rare occasion, coz usually, the moment i tie her hair, she'll pull it out!
Rachel & mama... just before heading out to kong kong & grandma's house. Mama is so happy she finally managed to successfully tie Rachel's hair :)
Goodbye 2008, welcome 2009! :)
