pacifier updates..

It has been 3 weeks already since we stopped giving Rachel the pacifier at night. She’s been a very good girl. She used to take about an hour of rolling around, kicking here, kicking there, clambering around, etc before she finally falls asleep without her pacifier. But in the past few days, the time taken to fall asleep is getting shorter! Hehe… yippee!

Though she’s ok without the pacifier at night, during the daytime she’ll still ask my inlaws for the pacifier. So she still need her pacifier when she takes her afternoon naps. We told my inlaws its ok to give her coz we don’t want to suddenly completely stop giving her la….take it step by step ma. Last weekend, darling and I tried not giving her the pacifier during her afternoon nap. Initially protested but we explained to her that she doesn’t need it. So she finally accepted but took 1 whole hour to sleep! Then to our pleasant surprise, on Monday, my mother in law said she didn’t ask for her pacifier before her afternoon nap :) she slept without her pacifier. And the same thing happened yesterday too! Yeay! I think she’s finally getting the idea that she doesn’t need the pacifier! We’re so happy and proud of her…
