Random updates...

This morning, Rachel didn’t want to let me go to work….i told her “rachel, mama have to go to work.” her immediate response was “don’t want” and shakes her head. She then came running to me and clung to my legs saying “mama, mama” …..she looked up at me with those pitiful eyes and my heart just melted….and then she said “mama, mama….carry…” wanting me to carry her… i really felt like staying home at that point of time……so I carried her for a while….she refused to kiss me on the cheek because she knew that once she kissed me, then means I will be leaving the house to go to work…so I played with her a while. I tried leaving the house again for work, but she ran to me and clung to me again, refusing to let me go…this repeated a few times… wah…really wished I didn’t have to go to work…. really wished that I could just stay at home and be with my princess….. in the end, my mother in law had to tell her mama needs to work but ah kong will be coming soon. Then only she was willing to let me go… she looks forward to her ah kong coming over coz her ah kong really pampers her and gives her anything she wants! Her ah kong will take her to the playground at least twice a day, lets her watch her favorite videos, etc… so she was excited to see ah kong and willing to let me go to work! hahaha.
But still, I wished I could stay home with her. So I’m really looking forward to the CNY break, looking forward to staying at home and spending time with my precious…

We’ve been talking to Rachel about babies to prepare her for baby’s arrival. We tell her that there’s a baby growing inside mama, so far she’s been quite loving la.. she’ll walk up to me, pats my tummy gently and say “baby..baby”…when I ask her to sayang baby, she’ll gently stroke my stomach and say “sayang…sayang..baby…” then she’ll kiss my stomach gently!! Hehe…. Such a loving cheh-cheh hor? Hopefully when the baby is born, she’ll still be as loving as she is now! Haha….. we’re also teaching her how to share her stuff. In the room, she has 2 pillows, 1 pillow is slightly smaller than the other. My mom told her that the bigger pillow is hers and the smaller pillow is babys’. everynight she’ll take the small pillow and give me and say “baby..baby..” and wants me to place the pillow next to my tummy for baby to sleep! Hahaha…. then she’ll take the bigger pillow and say “rachel’s… rachel’s “… :)

She’s been improving a lot with regards to her fear of strangers. For the past 2 Saturdays, going to CG was a breeze because she has stopped crying whenever people laugh out loud and she’s even stopped crying when she sees uncle Ben!! And finally, I was able to sit together with the whole group and even participated in the bible study, sharing and prayer! Previously I was not able to do so because Rachel refused to sit together with the whole group (she’ll cry) so I had to take her aside to take care of her. But for the past 2 weeks, she sat with me throughout CG! We’re so proud of her, she behaved so well throughout CG….such an angel… :) We really praise God for answered prayers. There is POWER in SPOKEN BLESSINGS and there is POWER in PRAYERS!! :)
