22 weeks and counting..
Went for my routine checkup at the gynaes’ in the morning. My gynae, Dr Ng, recently moved from Adventist Hospital to Tanjung Medical Centre. It was the first time we stepped foot in Tanjung. When I called up Tanjung a couple of weeks back to make an appointment, I was asked to arrive at 10.30am coz Dr Ng only comes in at 10am on Saturdays. So I got there just before 10.30am and to my surprise there were already so many patients waiting for their turn to see Dr Ng!! I checked with the nurse there and she told me that they don’t really have an appointment system (coz the volume of patients were previously not so high). Some of the patients were already there since 9am so no choice they have to let them have their turn first. Now I know, so the next visit, I’m going to go there before 9am, register and then go home and come back at 10am! Hehehe.
Anyways, so since we had to wait for at least another 1 hour before our turn, we decided to take a walk to One Stop complex. By the time we got back to Tanjung, it was our turn already…..
Checkup was ok. Doc did a detailed scan. Baby is growing well, everything’s good… :) praise God. I’m into my 22nd week already and so far only gained 3kg from the start of my pregnancy. I’m hoping not to gain too much weight this time round coz it is so extremely difficult to get rid of the excess weight after giving birth!!! This baby is one very active baby, loves to kick and move around a lot. Even Dr Ng commented that the baby is very active! Hehehe…. well, it’s a good sign that the baby is active….i remember that when I was pregnant with Rachel, she was also very active. I actually love feeling the baby kick and squirm around in my womb….it’s a feeling that I truly treasure. :) well, this baby is kinda cheeky too. Although I could feel the baby kicking me since week 17, tairven has so far not been able to feel the baby’s kicks yet! That’s because everytime he places his hand or face on my tummy, the baby will stop kicking! Hahahaha….cheeky rite?
So poor tairven, he’ll have to be patient….i’m sure as the baby grows, the kicks and movements will get stronger and he’ll be able to feel them soon.

here's baby at 22 weeks..:)
After the checkup, we headed to Prangin Mall in town to get my handphone fixed. My handphone “died” last Sunday…whenever I slide up the phone, the screen would be completely blanked out! According to the shop, ribbon rosak…seems like quite a common problem for slide-phones. So spent RM80 to fix the phone. While waiting for the phone to be fixed, we went to do some shopping and then grabbed a late lunch. After that, went back to my parents place - they were babysitting Rachel while we went out. Hehe. she was having so much fun at kong kong & grandma's house! :)
