date...

darling and i managed to grab some time off to go on a much-needed date 2 nights ago. it's been a long while since we went on a date... after becoming parents, one of the advise given to us and also one that we read over and over again in books is to make an effort to spend some "couple" time alone with each other at least once a week.

It's been a long time since we went on a date.....so we were really grateful that my parents could help baby-sit Rachel on tuesday night while we went on a date.

we went to Gurney plaza after work, had dinner and went to catch a movie. been ages since we stepped into the cinema! it was a simple yet meaningful date :) definitely hope to be doing that more often! hehe.

when we got home ard 10pm, guess what, our cheeky girl was still not asleep! she was in our room with my parents and we could hear her laughing happily. when we opened the door and went into the room, she was elated to see us! she jumped up and down the bed and shouted "mama! papa!" excitedly! hehe... :) my mom said 9pm she already asked for milk (normally after drinking milk she'll go straight to sleep), and her eyes were closing already whn she was drinking her milk. but after she finished her milk, her eyes opened again, smiled cheekily and got up!

hmm.... i guess she just had to wait up for her parents huh? hehehe....

in the end she finally slept at 10.30pm........ what an end to a lovely night! :)
