a mother's heartache..

Yesterday, my princess had a fall in the bathroom...i had just finished cleaning her up (we were getting ready to go out for dinner) and I turned my back for a SPLIT second to grab her towel. Next thing I know she had slipped and landed flat on her back! I tell you my heart just dropped…….. I quickly carried her up and my poor baby was crying….. I tell you my heart cried with her…….i was overwhelmed with guilt too...”if only”…. Sigh…
I immediately prayed for her and tried to comfort her…took a while to comfort her, we placed ice packs on the back of her head to reduce the swelling….my poor baby. Thank God after she stopped crying she was back to her normal self.

We were initially concerned and wondered whether we should bring her to see the doctor. But a dear sister, R told me to monitor her first. If she ends up vomiting non-stop, pupils dilated, and is tired and lethargic, then better bring her to the doctor immediately.

After the whole incident, we went ahead with our dinner plans at QBay together with my parents and sister. Thank God rachel is her usual normal active self. She was running all over the place, laughing and seem to have forgotten the whole incident. At night, before she slept we laid hands on her and prayed for her again. We trust that she is alright, all thanks be to God.

The bathroom is really a dangerous place even for adults. Got to be really careful…
I’m still overcome with guilt……. Sigh.

Oh no! Poor Rachel!!

Don't be guilt-ridden ler:P These things do happen...but yeah, try some non-slip mats around the bathroom..especially that now Rachel is more active and moves around easily.

So sorry to hear about Rachel's fall. Hope she has gotten over the fright too. Yes the bathroom can be a dangerous place; but it is not your recklessness that she fell. So, don't feel guilty about it ya. It's just an accident. I'm sure she's alright now and our Father in Heaven is watching over her to make sure she's fine & protected :)
