the weekend that was....
Monday was a PH, thus it was a long weekend. So here r some brief highlights of the weekend :
Sat
Went for our routine checkup with Dr Ng. This time we’ve learnt our lesson, we arrived at the hospital around 830am. The nurses were surprised to see me so early! Haha. I told them I don’t want to end up waiting another 1.5hours for my turn to see Dr Ng.
So anyway, after registration, went for a blood test, after that we went out for breakfast. Came back from breakfast, waited awhile and when Dr Ng arrived, we were the 1st patient to see him!
He has a new office and a new ultrasound scan machine which can do 4D scan.
Baby is doing fine. I’m into my 26th week of pregnancy now. Baby weighs almost 1kg now and doc says he’s a long baby judging at the length of his thigh bone. Father’s genes I suppose :)
Baby’s head has not turn downwards but that’s still alright coz there’s still time for the baby to turn. Told Dr Ng about the pain/discomfort that I’ve been experiencing on 1 particular spot on my tummy. He told me its due to the stretching of the muscles, there’s a ligament there and as my tummy grows bigger to accommodate the baby, the stretching causes the discomfort. So got to just bear with it. Don’t remember having this discomfort when I was pregnant with Rachel. Oh well, I pray the discomfort will go away soon.
Spent the rest of the day at home taking care of rachel. Went to parents place in the evening, then met up with jee-ee & jee-teow for dinner before heading for CG.
Sun
Church in the morning as usual. Rachel attended her 1st Sunday school class today. usually, she doesn’t want to go in for class, she’ll drag my hand and direct me to the crèche coz she wants to play with the toys there! Hehe. But today, I managed to convince her to sit in the class. She was excited coz she got to colour (she loves colour pencils)…and also coz Timothy was there, so got kawan lor.
After church, lunch then went back home to rest. Evening, we went to our friend’s place on the mainland for a bbq. Rachel was excited to see so many toys, so she kept herself occupied with the toys! J came home around 11pm. She didn’t want to sleep until 12 midnight!
Mon
Spent the morning at home. Lunch time went to my parents place in farlim. Darling went off to church for a photography workshop after lunch while I stayed at my parents place together with rachel. As usual rachel had a ball of a time in her kong kong & grandma’s house. Then we had dinner at e-gate with jee-ee, jee-teow, sar-ee and grandma. Kong kong couldn’t join us for dinner as he had to attend BSF.
Oh, guess what? Now rachel can pronounce FISH the correct way! All these while she had difficulty pronouncing the word FISH and end up pronouncing it as “ssheeet” (hehe, yeah I know, sounds like s**** !!) but now finally she has got it right! Now her FISH sounds like FISH! Yeay! :)
So that was our weekend! Time flies and it was sad when Monday night came coz we knew we had to go back to work the next day. Sigh. Why cant holidays last longer?
